Product Description

FUNDER brand panels consist of melamine resin impregnated decorative paper, thermally fused to particleboard or medium density fiberboard (MDF).  Thermal fusion takes place under heat and pressure and permanently bonds the resin impregnated paper to the substrate.  The process of thermal fusion produces a permanent bond between the melamine surface and the substrate.

Our panels are available in three different configurations:

• ● Decorative face on two sides.

• ● One side with decorative face, the other with cabinet liner or backer that can be glued, painted, or stained.  Balance: In laminated products, refers to the need to have both sides of a panel product laminated by a similar or lesser product to avoid twisting, bowing, or warping of product.  Refer to the AWI Standards for further information.

Funder brand panels meet or exceed American National Standard A208.1 for laminated particleboard and meet all requirements of applicable standard CS-236-66 for 1B2 mat-formed particle board.
